Yea, the above picture looks great. But how do I begin when it comes to wine? I could never get it right when trying to read the labels of the wine that I really enjoyed in a party. Even if I took a picture of the bottles with my latest hand phone, the labels made no sense at all! Yes, there are Apps nowadays that can recognize the labels and provide searchable data, but not always successful. Sure, the Apps recognize some of the wines, but I’m still confused about the information in the labels.
Sounds familiar? That actually happened to many people who would love to know more about this exciting wine “business” but don’t know how to begin. I started the hard way, by trying all the wine in my local supermarket, picking up information on each along the way. It is a rather costly method, but it has worked for me. I don’t claim to be a wine expert here, as there is still long way to go to be a true connoisseur. Yet, there are some wine tips from my experience that you may find useful in finding/knowing the wine that you like and how to work around your budget for the good stuff.
BTW, the wines on the top picture only cost me HK$58.5 (Altos de la Hoya) and HK$98 (Moscato). But they were wonderful!
